Every week, we receive dozens of requests from people wanting to sell their video tape collections. For almost 20 years it was the format-of-choice for movie watchers around the world. Unfortunately (or, maybe fortunately), the VHS tape has been consigned to the “Yesterday’s Technology” junk pile along with the vinyl record, the 8-track tape and dozens of other formerly indispensable items.

Unless your video tape collection contains a good quantity of rare titles, it will be worth very little. Otherwise, mainstream movies on VHS tape are worth 5 to 10 cents each so we suggest you try donating them to a local charity (or having a garage sale!).
